Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the full name given to her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox was able to live on her student stipend and work part-time jobs. Lennox was not happy with the quality of her abilities compared to others at Royal Academy and began looking at other options. Lennox began her career in the year 1976, when she joined the band Dragons Playground. However, she left before her band was asked to participate in I.T.V.'s talent show New Faces. Her main role was as The singer for The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. In this band, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create The Eurythmics Pop duo. Then, Lennox began working for her debut album as a solo artist Diva and it was released in the year 1992. It became a huge success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs Sixth Solo Album debuted in the month of October 2014. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut independent album and a companion to her art work made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you Go...
